So, early this morning I was informed by Batman that two of our really good friends passed away over spring break. I know i never write in you, but i think this time- i really needed to. Russel and Parisa. Wow.Heroine overdose. You fuck. And parisa was on xanex and she burned to death due to the fact that her car exploded in a car accident. I had so many things to say and write, so many things just pounding the inside of my skull. I can't even put it into words.
| | Burrows | 03/21/2007 |  | | Russell Thomas Burrows born on June 9, 1988, our beloved 18 year old son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend passed into the Lord's presence on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Russell graduated from Health Careers High School last May, 2006. He took the year off before going to college, working with a friend to rebuild airplanes. He was looking forward to attending Baylor University in the fall under the Regents' Baylor Scholarship as a National Merit Scholar, where he planned to major in Biochemistry. Russell had an amazingly long list of accolades in his all too short lifetime. He was an accomplished musician, starting on the piano at the age of 7, culminating in his competing in the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio by the age of 11. As his teenage years approached his musical passion switched to bass and eventually to his ultimate love, the guitar. He could always be found with a pick in his pocket. Jamming with friends was one of his favorite pastimes. Russell represented his schools, his region, his state and his country in a multitude of science competitions. These included the Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and the Alamo Regional Academy of Science throughout his middle and high school years, winning multiple grand prizes and top awards. He went on to compete in the ExxonMobil Texas State Science and Engineering Fair every year, and his projects twice won Best of Fair. Russell was twice a Top 40 Finalist in the Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge. He traveled to Washington, D.C. to compete, where he won the Animal Channel Award, receiving the opportunity to visit the set of Emergency Vet. Russell competed twice in the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair, taking a First Place and Best in Category in 2004, making him one of the top science research students in the world that year. Russell traveled to the Exposciencias Internacional in Talca, Chile, where he took First Place in Biological Sciences. Russell had a winning smile, an engaging personality, a beautiful laugh, and a tender spirit. The keen pain felt by his family and friends in our loss of this bright, loving young man is tempered by knowing that he is in the embrace of his Lord and Savior. |
| Biglari | 03/21/2007 | | | Parisa Biglari, 17, passed away on Thursday, March 15, after a tragic accident, in Port Aransas. She graduated early at age 16 from Reagan High School in 2006, and was attending Blinn College in Bryan, TX, where she continued her vocal ambitions. While in middle and high school she received both local and regional recognition for her music endeavors. Parisa's other serious interest was the fashion industry. She was an avid reader; she loved a good book; she enjoyed sketching and using her camera. She spoke several languages and was proud of her Persian and English ancestry. Parisa was a beautiful, loving, ambitious, and talented young woman who cherished her family, friends and cat, Rascal. She is survived by her father, Esfandiar Biglari; her mother, Evelyn 'Lyn' Scott and husband John; 2 brothers, Armand Biglari and wife Molly of Marble Falls, TX and Dean Nydam of New Mexico; a sister, Atoosa Biglari and husband Adnan of New York; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring North located at Loop 1604 and Gold Canyon. SERVICE SATURDAY, MARCH 24, 2007 10:30 A.M.
